As it continues into a second decade, Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea & BenMaier PLLC has again been named to the Houston Business Journal’s annual list of the largest law firms in Houston.
SBSB ranks 11th on the 2026 list, up one spot from a year ago, with 82 attorneys, including 18 partners, based in its Houston office. The firm’s 232 total Houston employees ranks sixth among firms on the Houston Business Journal list.
Firm wide, SBSB has 185 lawyers and 222 support personnel in eight offices across five states.
“We are pleased to once again be recognized as one of Houston’s largest law firms,” said Managing Partner John Schouest. “It speaks to how much our firm continues to thrive and the depth of services we are proud to offer our clients.”
Founded in February 2015, the firm’s steady growth has included two new offices established in 2024, a new Galveston office in 2025 and the addition of new partners in Houston and Chicago.
Last year, SBSB also was included in the Law360 400, which recognizes the largest and most successful law firms in the country, and for the first time was selected for the Leopard Law Firm Index, which ranks the nation’s top-performing law firms.
In recent months, firm attorneys have been recognized for excellence by Lawdragon, Texas Super Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in America and Litigation Counsel of America, and the firm has been honored by Best Law Firms
