Mya Ashlan Lloyd is an associate in SBSB’s Houston office and serves as a member of the firm’s Defense Base Act practice group. A Dallas native, she prides her work on deploying her skills in writing, critical thinking and communication to make a tangible impact on the lives of others.
As an undergraduate, Mya Ashlan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in 2020. Following graduation, she attended the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2023. While in law school, she supported her fellow students through innovative programming efforts as a member of the Student Bar Association and served as senior editor for The Thurgood Marshall School of Law Gender, Race, and Justice Law Journal.
Mya Ashlan joined the firm’s bench in September 2023 and is admitted to practice in Indiana. When away from her practice, she enjoys spending time with her Doberman pinschers Boston and Berlin and trying new restaurants.
