Joshua Bristol

Joshua Bristol is an associate in SBSB’s Houston office serving in the firm’s litigation department and as a member of its Defense Base Act practice group. Originally joining the firm as a law clerk in May 2024, he also interned at the Texas 14th Court of Appeals, drafting and editing opinions for use in court.

A native of Corsicana, Texas, Josh moved to Michigan and attended Michigan State University as an undergraduate, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Spanish Language in 2021. After graduating, he returned to Texas and earned his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston in 2025.

Josh is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and is a Qualified Mediator. He is active in the legal community as a member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association and the Houston Bar Association, and in addition to his commitment to the law, he harbors a passion for traveling and learning of different cultures and people.
