Gabriel Alvarez is an associate in SBSB’s Houston office. A first-generation attorney, he joined the firm in February 2026 and assists in representing clients in matters arising under the Defense Base Act. Before joining SBSB, Gabriel practiced in complex civil litigation, focusing on trucking and transportation defense, where he developed a strong foundation in case strategy, motion practice and client advocacy.
Born and raised in Houston, Gabriel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Texas at Austin before returning home to attend South Texas College of Law Houston, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. His path to the legal profession has been shaped by hard work, perseverance and a deep appreciation for the opportunities education has provided him.
Gabriel is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. He approaches his work with dedication, integrity and a genuine commitment to serving clients and community.
