Darius Caceres is an associate in SBSB’s Houston office. A member of the firm’s bench since January 2026, he brings experience in the insurance defense field to his role within the Defense Base Act practice group. Prior experience includes handling informal proceedings before the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation, drafting legal reports, negotiating and drafting settlement agreements and reviewing records of varying manner.

Darius earned an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from LaGuardia Community College in 2013 and began his career in insurance in 2014. He would go on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2016, and in 2019, he relocated to Houston to further develop his career as a licensed workers’ compensation claims adjuster. He would commute between Texas and New York on the weekends to attend law school on the weekends, and in 2023, he earned his Juris Doctorate from the Jacob D. Fuschberg College of Law at Touro University.

Darius is admitted to the Indiana State Bar Association. With more than a decade of experience in the insurance field, he brings a practical, informed perspective to his legal practice and is committed to delivering high-quality representation to those he serves.
