Cristen Flanagan is an associate in SBSB’s Houston office. A member of the firm’s bench since October 2025, she assists in handling claims arising under the Defense Base and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Acts. Prior to joining the firm, she gained experience in plaintiff and defense work, as she supported family matters and personal injury cases while assisting on product liability defense cases.
Cristen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Texas State University in 2020. A distinguished stint at South Texas College of Law in Houston followed, culminating in her earning her Juris Doctorate in 2025. While in law school, she earned an Order of the Barristers Award for excellence in oral advocacy and received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Criminal Procedure.
Cristen is admitted to the State Bar of Texas. She is a trained opera singer and an avid piano player, and when away from her practice, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and taking in the expansive Houston food scene in search of the best burgers in town.
