Carlos Escobar is an associate in SBSB’s Houston office. Originally joining the firm as a law clerk in May 2024, he now assists in handling cases relating to claims that arise under the Defense Base Act. His passion for the law blossomed during a stint as a medical records clerk at a personal injury firm prior to attending law school, an experience that crystallized his desire to pursue the career he now enjoys.
A Houston native, Carlos earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in 2020. During his aforementioned stint as a clerk with SBSB, he graduated cum laude from South Texas College of Law and earned his Juris Doctorate in 2025. While in school, he participated in South Texas’ mediation clinic and earned certification as a Qualified Mediator. Additionally, his high marks studying the First Amendment and Corporate Law earned acclaim in the form of CALI awards.
Carlos is a third-generation attorney and is admitted to the State Bar of Texas. He cites his attention to detail and dedication to maximum effort as hallmarks of his work.
