Breanne Pregeant

Associate / New Orleans

P: 504.561.0323

A fourth-generation Louisianan, Breanne Pregeant grew up on Grand Isle, where her family owned and operated a major shipyard for decades. The docks and piers were first a playground and later a workplace for Breanne, so perhaps it’s not surprising that she gravitated to maritime law in pursuing a legal career.

For several years, Breanne worked as a paralegal and case manager at firms focusing on disputes related to the Longshoreman’s Act and Jones Act before deciding to pursue her licensure and joining SBSB. Knowing the firm is a place where she can apply her years of professional experience as well as her personal background, she supports all aspects of the group’s maritime law practice as well as claims arising from the Defense Base Act. She is relied on for her meticulous approach to research and case review, persistence in determining the most advantageous strategy for each case, and willingness to tackle any assignment.

Breanne maintains an active interest in outdoor activities, so in her free time she may be found seeking adventure and new landscapes through travel and her enjoyment of hiking or continuing those family traditions of hunting at her family’s Mississippi winter home or on the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico seeking her next big catch.
