Andrew Robbins is a member of SBSB’s Admiralty and Maritime practice group. For over 13 years, he has represented and advised clients in a wide range of maritime disputes and complex litigation matters. His experience includes claims arising under the Jones Act, vessel collision, demurrage disputes, the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 and other maritime contractual disputes. In addition to his maritime practice, Andrew has handled construction, aviation, commercial and personal injury disputes.
A portion of Andrew’s maritime practice has involved field investigation and hands-on work outside the office. He has conducted on-site investigations in a variety of settings and believes that firsthand exposure often reveals the facts that may otherwise be overlooked. That experience has shaped his approach to litigation and case evaluation.
Beyond just investigations, Andrew has substantial experience managing litigation strategy and guiding cases through all phases of the legal process. He regularly works with clients, experts, witnesses, and co-counsel in order to evaluate claims and position matters for a successful resolution. He values practical solutions, direct communication, and a collaborative approach tailored to each client’s goal.
Andrew has represented clients through every stage of litigation , from initial investigations and case strategy through depositions, mediation, and when necessary, trial. He approaches matters with a practical and adaptable mindset, focusing on efficient solutions and clear communication to advance his clients’ objectives.
Outside of his practice, Andrew enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. Whether traveling, hiking, water rafting, or playing ultimate frisbee, he enjoys finding his next adventure and values any opportunity to get outside and stay moving.
