Max Chamberlain began his law career with the goal to help others, both in the individual sense of helping each client case-by-case, and also in the larger sense of contributing to the health of the business community as a whole. The idea that each matter in which Max helps a client prevail also has an impact on the larger community and economy is what drives him. Knowing that he’s advancing the greater good keeps his focus on what is right for his client and for their business.

Growing up, Max was always told he should become an attorney because he’s a good listener, gives good advice and has a compassionate, empathetic personality. These traits, coupled with his natural ability and affinity for problem solving, are important in supporting family and friends with life’s ups and downs. They translate well to the law profession as well, making Max an undeniable asset to his clients and to his fellow attorneys at SBSB.

During law school, Max clerked for a plaintiff’s firm. While there, he gained valuable insight into that side of the law and was able to hone his legal writing skills.

Max is a family man; he and his wife have two young children that keep them both busy. In between spending time with his family, Max always finds time to focus on mind and body improvement. He’s an avid athlete: lifting weights, running and playing basketball. He also studies psychology, philosophy and theology. He believes the expansion of one’s understanding of the human condition has a natural correlation to improving one’s performance in their profession. Another way he expands his mind is through travel. Broadening his horizons through his studies and through experiencing other cultures is key for Max’s never-ending quest to find deeper meaning both personally and professionally.
