Victor Burnette is an associate attorney at the firm’s Houston, Texas office. He has several years of experience defending claims arising under the Longshore and Harbors Workers’ Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act, the Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentalities Act, the War Hazards Compensation Act, and Maritime Law. He also has experience dealing with Texas state personal injury claims, family law, and contract litigation.
Mr. Burnette graduated from South Texas College of Law in the top quarter of his class and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was named to the Dean’s list five times. During his undergraduate years, he received a scholarship in intercollegiate debate. Mr. Burnette also has extensive experience as an SAT and ACT test preparation teacher, having worked in that capacity for nearly a decade before finishing law school. Mr. Burnette is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
