Tally Perez is a Partner in the Houston office with a focus on worker’s compensation defense. Ms. Perez has extensive experience in defending employers and carriers in claims arising out of the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act (LHWCA), Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA), Defense Base Act (DBA) and the Texas Workers Compensation Act. Ms. Perez has successfully litigated numerous cases before the Office of Administrative Law Judges, the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation, the Appeals Panel and the Texas Courts of Appeals. She has also defended cases arising out of the Jones Act.
Ms. Perez frequently speaks at industry events and provides continuing education on topics including employer’s rights, enforcing subrogation interests and current legal practice standards.
Ms. Perez graduated with a journalism degree from the University of North Carolina (1999) and the University of North Carolina School of Law (2003). She is licensed to practice law in Texas.
