Phil Sudan is an attorney in the firm’s Houston office. Phil focuses his practice on domestic and international business transactions. Phil has decades of experience representing individuals, partnerships and corporations in connection with mergers and acquisitions, issuance of corporate securities, and international business and tax transactions. Phil regularly advises non-United States operations within the United States or advises United Sates based businesses on expanding into Ireland or the European Economic Union.
Phil earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Texas at Austin in 1973 as well as a Juris Doctorate at the University of Houston Law Center in 1976. Phil was also the Associate Editor of the Houston Law Review.
Phil is admitted to the practice in the State of Texas since 1976 and the State of New York since 2008. Phil’s court admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas, U.S. Court of Appeals, for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and U.S. Tax Court.
