Michal-Ane McIntosh is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Boca Raton office. Ms. McIntosh’s practice is centered around the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act.
Ms. McIntosh graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminology, after which she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
While in law school, Ms. McIntosh was a Notes Editor for the Journal of Technology Law and Policy, and was a member of the Florida Alternative Dispute Resolution competition team. Additionally, she received the highest-grade award in Trademark Law. She served as a Certified Legal Intern in the Gator TeamChild clinic, where she represented juvenile clients in delinquency and dependency cases, and assisted them with expunction of their criminal records. Ms. McIntosh rounded out her law school experience with externships at Legal Aid of Broward County and Banyan Biomarkers, Inc., and with a research assistantship for the Director of the Intellectual Property Law Program at UF Law.
Prior to joining SBSB Law, Ms. McIntosh was an Associate at an insurance defense litigation firm in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she defended clients in diverse civil litigation matters, including municipal liability, premises liability, and general negligence cases. Ms. McIntosh is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and in the Southern District of Florida.
