You get it all when you hire Michael Hogue. Experience, deep industry knowledge, court savviness, strong professional relationships and a reputation for winning.

His career got off to a stellar start and has not slowed down since. In 1985, just five years after earning his JD, Michael worked on Cipollone v. Liggett Group, Inc., a product liability case against the Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company, his law firm’s client. Though dozens of veteran lawyers were involved, he became the youngest attorney in the country to be given a lead role in such a major case. A lower court’s ruling in favor of the plaintiff was reversed on appeal by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Defense litigation continues to be Michael’s passion. Today, his practice focuses on maritime and oilfield personal injury cases, commercial contract issues, and major insurance disputes.

He credits his successful track record to being extraordinarily prepared for every situation, which you can only do with years of experience under your belt. He approaches cases strategically and with razor-sharp focus.

He gets along with both colleagues and opponents and knows how the other side thinks. However, people should not mistake his courtesy and civility for weakness; he knows how and when to adroitly apply eviscerating arguments. As he always says, what matters most is getting the best results for his clients.
