Dana Walsh Ladner is an associate attorney in the firm’s Houston office. Dana focuses her practice on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Jones Act, and the Defense Base Act (DBA). Dana’s experiences, include plaintiff and expert depositions, assisting in numerous mediations, and representing employers and carriers before the Department of Labor.
Dana is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association and Phi Delta Phi. She has also served as an Adjunct Advocacy Professor at South Texas College of Law, coaching various moot court teams at tournaments nationwide.
During law school, Dana gained experience in Appellate Procedure, Construction Law, and Oil and Gas Law. She was also a member of the South Texas Law Review, the Construction Law Journal and was named to the prestigious Order of the Barristers. Dana also served as an intern for Judge Jennifer Elrod — United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Dana was named to the Order of the Lytae, and her honors and awards include: Best Litigation Article, the Dean’s Student Advocacy Service Award, and the South Texas Best Brief Writer Award.
