Dana Ladner’s dogged determination to succeed for her clients frequently overcomes the greatest obstacles. Once, as an associate, she was told she could not obtain employment records that she was sure would help the case. She kept digging, making phone calls and working around several impediments to access the much-needed employment records. After trying several different avenues, she ultimately obtained the evidence she had pursued. And just as she thought, those records turned out to be pivotal to winning the case. Her determination won the day.

That persistence and conviction, coupled with her attention to detail and ability to focus on the overarching goals of her clients, makes Dana a formidable legal force. She will push to get the evidence she needs, but when thrown a curve ball, she can pivot to get the best outcome. She has the experience and insight to weigh the pros and cons of any case and use the most advantageous facts to fight for her client.

Dana focuses her practice on the defense of claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Jones Act and Defense Base Act. Her experience includes plaintiff and expert depositions, assisting in numerous mediations, and representing employers and carriers before the United States Department of Labor. Working with her colleagues and navigating the ups and downs of each case together is what she loves. The fact that it translates into wins for her clients is just all the more rewarding.
